Based on customer reviews, here's a ranking of US Cellular across different categories:

Coverage and Quality: 2/5

Many customers mentioned poor coverage despite being in areas with supposed service. Multiple reviews complain about dropped calls and issues with signal quality, especially as related to transitioning to newer technologies like 4G and 5G.

There are a few positive mentions of good internet speeds for some users but they seem to be the exception rather than the rule.

Plan Features: 2/5

Several reviews indicate that billing was inconsistent and unpredictable. Customers reported receiving bills that did not match their plan agreements, with inflated charges and difficulty in resolving discrepancies.

There are reports of poor value propositions; e.g., customers were sold packages they didn't want or need, which led to dissatisfaction.

Provided Device: 2/5

Some users noted issues directly related to the devices provided by US Cellular. For instance, a hotspot plan that never worked properly.

One review mentions being misled about warranty and support when purchasing a phone via cellular rather than direct from the manufacturer, leading to device dissatisfaction.

Help and Support: 1/5

Customer service was overwhelmingly criticized as ineffective, unresponsive, and sometimes even abusive or discriminatory (in one case). Several customers reported having issues that persisted for months without resolution.

Multiple reviews mention difficulty in understanding billing statements and communicating with customer representatives who do not speak English clearly.

Automatic Rating

Coverage and Quality:
On a scale of 1 to 5, it would be around 3. This rating is average because while they have upgraded to a nationwide GSM LTE 4G/5G network, the quality can vary depending on numerous factors like your location, terrain, weather conditions, and whether you are indoors or outdoors.

Plan Features:
This area also gets an estimated rating of 3. The plans seem straightforward but might not offer as much flexibility or premium features compared to other providers. Customers often comment that while the service “gets the job done,” it may lack some advanced options.

Provided Device:
For devices, Access Wireless receives a score of roughly 4. They provide customers with various device options including free ones for eligible subscribers and hearing-aid compatibility ratings on their website. This shows an effort to cater to diverse customer needs.

Help and Support:
Based on the review mentioning that they are trusted despite not having the best plans, we can rate this as 4. The review suggests a sense of reliability and consistency in service which is quite valuable from a customer perspective.

Real customer reviews indicate mixed satisfaction regarding the quality of service; some express dissatisfaction with connectivity issues.

Plan Features (3/5)

Reasoning: StandUp Wireless provides both free and discounted services through its Lifeline Program, tailored for low-income individuals and families.
