Lifeline Cell Phone Providers and Ratings

There is a large number of Lifeline cell phone providers that operate in one or a handful of states. Below you will find a list of free government cell phone regional and national carriers.

By clicking on any of the links below, you will be taken to a page describing the carrier’s free cell phone program, program state availability, and eligibility requirements.

We strongly recommend that you compare the offerings of each Lifeline carrier in your state before applying for service.  Not all Lifeline carriers are equal and by shopping around you can get more free minutes, better cell phones or even smartphones, and cheaper top up minutes.
